M.I.G. (MATURED IN GLORY)
This young Holy Spirit inspired female group was formed in 1990 by Evangelist Carolyn Devine as a praise dance ministry known as "Motions In Glory" from Pasadena, CA.
As they ministered through the art of dance uplifting broken spirits and creating an atmosphere of intense praise; they would soon allow that same anointing to use their singing voices in praise. Therefore, the group changed its name to "Matured In Glory" which represents both dance and song. In the year 2000, they launched their singing career through professional training and dedicated hard work under the vocal teaching of the world renown Ms. Stephanie Spruill, who has worked with such artists as Donna Summer, The Jacksons, Julio Iglesas, Smokie Norful, Meagan Good and many others. M.I.G. has ministered on many stages including Musical Bricks Phase I Featuring Ben Tankard, 2000 Democratic National Convention, Jazz in the Spirit with Ron Brown, the Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno.
They have ministered to crowds in Tokyo and Okinawa Japan singing in Japanese. They were nominated "Best Uprising Gospel Group" and Best Female Contemporary Group 2003 and 2004 they are the winners of the Southern California Gospel Announcers Guild's Best Female Contemporary Artist in 2004. They have graced the stage with artist such as Tiffany Laing, Boney James, Brian Culbertson, Paul Jackson Jr., Norman Brown and others.Their debut CD entitled "It's Not About Us" was produced by Ron Brown for Mankind Records.
They are very active in various ministries at their home church On Guard Fellowship pastored and founded by Kenneth B. Devine, such as praise and worship leaders, children's ministries and teen council. Bible study attendance and an attitude of excellence that represents Christ in and outside of church is a must with M.I.G. Their vibe is a simple one:
